From August 15-16, 2014, Pacific Northwest based startups and established companies came together for TechfestNW. This annual gathering launched in 2012 showcases Portland as a digital and cultural hub while advancing the conversation in the areas design, creativity, technology, talent, education, and entrepreneurship. Also, this festival runs in conjunction MusicfestNW, one of the largest independent music festivals in the United States.
The local and Silicon Valley speakers who grace the stage during this two day fest include: Kara Swisher Co-CEO; Revere Digital; Alan Wizemann – VP of Product, Target; Senator Ron Wyden (D-Oregon); Genevieve Bell, Director of User Experience Research, Intel; Chris Satchell, Consumer Technology Officer/VP, Nike Consumer Digital Technology; Nusrat Durrani, Senior Vice President and General Manager, MTV World, and Liba Wenig Rubenstein, Director of Social Impact & Public Policy, Tumblr.

A job fair running concurrent with TechFestNW affords those looking for career opportunities in the digital tech field an opportunity to connect with approximately 20 companies. Admission tickets to TechFestNW cost $99 includes admission to the TFNW Talent Fair. Also, one can attend just the talent fair for $10.
A series of sponsored parties and snacks open to pass-holders and sponsors round out these digital festivities in a city Nike is trying to brand as #SiliconForest.
