Beautified, the mobile app for beauty enthusiasts to book last minute appointments, today announced the release of the newly redesigned Beautified app, website and launch of last-minute fitness bookings. Available for iOS devices, Beautified acts as a personal beauty and fitness concierge for on-the-go consumers while easily allowing spas, salons and studios to fill openings.
Beautified 2.0 expands into the fitness category with cardio, barre, yoga and strength workouts with initial partners including Flywheel, Barry’s Bootcamp, Peloton, Physique 57, Bari, Body by Simone and many more. Through a carefully curated process, Beautified’s team of experts have also expanded in the beauty world with national brands including Bliss and Clarins. Beautified is founded by Hannah Bronfman, Annie Evans and Peter Hananel.
“After spending the last year focused on user feedback of the app, we wanted to provide additional services and create solutions for the everyday, urban woman and man with an affinity for beauty and fitness,” said co-founder Peter Hananel. “As beauty and health go hand-in-hand, the expansion into the fitness category was the next natural step for the company.”
Beautified’s new features include:
· All New Look & Feel – The intuitive interface allows users to filter searches for services by neighborhood, price, date and time. A map feature can also pinpoint a user’s current location and show distances and directions to the nearest salons and studios.
· Social Interaction – Through Beautified, users can share salon and studio experiences with the “snap a selfie” feature, which automatically turns on the iPhone camera and can be shared on social media channels.
· New Checkout Functionality – With Beautified, gratuity can be paid in advance. If the user wants to tip more or less after the appointment, gratuity can be changed. Users can also pre-set gratuity in their profile (i.e. automatically include 20% gratuity for each service booked via Beautified), making checkout easier—and faster for users.
· Rating – Salons and studios now display a rating based on user feedback. After a booking, users can rate (thumbs up or down) each service. Salons and studios will display a percentage “recommendation score” on their profile, based on how many positive responses users have provided.
Beautified has partnered with salons in over a thousand locations, booking a growing volume of appointments in the past year since its June 2013 launch. Beautified is generally available in New York City and is an invite-only service for users in Los Angeles and San Francisco with plans to launch in fall 2014 and early 2015.
