The time honored tradition of 420 will be celebrated by many this year (especially Colorado and Washington) and a new film can be added to their stoner list. Unlike the traditional bud buddy films such as Dazed and Confused, Half Baked and Pineapple Express John Stockwell's Kid Cannabis will remind you more of the weed version of Blow. The film stars Jonathan Daniel Brown, Kenny Wormald, Ron Perlman, John C. McGinley, and Aaron Yoo and will be released in theaters on April 18th.

Kid Cannabis is the true story of an Idaho teen dropout who builds a multimillion-dollar marijuana ring by trafficking drugs through the woods across the Canadian border. But his pursuit of the high life - complete with girls, guns, and vicious rival drug lords - may leave this ex-pizza boy in way over his head. This story is based on true events.

Many have seen Perlman smoke before on the popular television show Sons of Anarchy so it will be nice to see him teamed up with guys from two of the biggest party movies last year. The film seems like it has a dark overtone and being based on a true story it’s OK to assume this does not end well. The film is directed by Top Gun's own John Stockwell (Cougar) or for horror fans you may remember him as Dennis Guilder from Christine. Kid Cannabis is being distributed by Well Go USA and we have some images and the official trailer for you here. Look for more on this soon!
