ABC is sure making the fans work for their spoilers now, aren’t they? After another #SaveAlexis Twitter promotional campaign this morning, the first of the sneak peeks for “Castle” episode 5x16 “Hunt” have started rolling out on Feb. 21.
With four days to go until we find out just how Rick Castle plans to rescue his daughter Alexis from her captors overseas, ABC released an exclusive clip to the fans on their official YouTube channel. The first sneak peek shows Beckett and Martha discovering that Castle has grabbed his passport and headed off on a rogue mission to save his daughter.
Martha: Where’s Richard?
Beckett: I thought that he was with you.
Martha: No, he told me he was going to be with you working on the case.
Beckett: Martha, I haven’t seen him all day.
Seeing as the Eiffel Tower is in the background, we know Castle’s already made his way to Paris to find Alexis. There’s at least one FBI agent still working at the loft, so we have to wonder what it is that occurs in “Hunt” that provokes Castle into escalating his own efforts to rescue his daughter without the help of the feds or the NYPD. Do the pieces of the teased “Hunt” script from yesterday occur before or after this clip? And how and when does Castle's father factor into all of this?
