MAXFUND PHOTO FUNDRAISER - Portrait photographer Mark Stevens has set aside April 4-6 ,for his annual MaxFund Photo Fundraiser Days. A donation of $75, $150 or $200 gets participants a slot in the day to bring pets in for a photo session at Mark Stevens Photography. One-hundred percent of all donations go to MaxFund. In other MaxFund news, the grand opening of the organization's dog shelter and open house will be Sunday, April 5 at 1 p.m. After the dedication ceremony, there will be shelter tours. The shelter is at 1005 Galapago St,. Denver.

BOULDER CAT CENTER - The grand reopening of the Humane Society of Boulder Valley's cat adoption center will be Thursday, April 17, from 6 to 7 p.m. Dessert and champagne will be served.
