Many know Nina Dobrev from CW's hit series Vampire Diaries. Some don't realize Nina Dobrev got her start from doing commercials and going to casting calls. This soon led her to the role as Mia Jones in the hit series Degrassi: The Next Generation. Nina also appeared in many Lifetime movies.
Nina Dobrev has a great body and has recently showed that off in the magazine, Cosmopolitan. She weighs 122 pounds, and is 5' 6". Her measurements are 30-23-33. So how does she keep her body looking so fit? Nina claims she has a flat tummy, but does not have 6 pack abs. If she knows she is going to be in a bathing suit, Nina will train more and skip dessert for a few weeks. Nina Dobrev works out with co-cast members from Vampire Diaries, Claire Holt and Candace Accola (Rebecca and Caroline). Running is her own time. 'Working my muscles outside in the fresh air is therapeutic' Nina Dobrev claims. Everyone knows to be a vampire on Vampire Diaries, you must have good cardio.
Due to the Vampire Diaries, Nina must stay in shape. Nina Dobrev claims yoga has changed her body 100%. Yoga tones and leans you out for a sexy bikini ready body. The best yoga move she claims is the dancer's pose. Nina Dobrev says you need to really concentrate. If your mind is else where then you will surely fall.
To do the dancer pose,
- feet hip-width apart, arms down,
- bend right knee and bring right heel toward butt.
- Reach back with right hand to grab right ankle;
- lift foot up until right thigh is parallel to floor.
- Extend left arm forward as you feel the stretch in the raised leg and your abs firing.
- Repeat on other side.
To help her concentrate and reset her mind, Nina does the downward dog. She says it is best for those who just can't clear their minds. It kind of resets your mind and body by making you concentrate on your breath.
Nina isn't in to 'starving to be skinny'. She claims that by not eating, it affects her mood. On set of Vampire Diaries, Nina Dobrev fuels up with high protein snacks.
