German shepherd saves woman from committing suicide

In Southeastern France on Wednesday a woman's loyal German shepherd dog saved his mistress from committing suicide. The 63 year-old woman had her 22-caliber rifle loaded with bullets and was preparing to shoot.

According to Buzzfeed.com, the woman fired several practice shots to make sure the rifle was functioning and then prepared to shoot herself in the heart.

At that very moment, the shepherd jumped on his mistress obviously tuned into his human companion's distress. The police officer stated the dog "probably sensed things and knocked into her to save her."

Thankfully the woman's husband found his wife, took her to the hospital, and her chest wound is not life threatening. It's amazing how tuned in and sensitive our four-legged canine companions can be. This brave dog saved a life today.
