Animal control officials, acting with a search warrant, entered Ryan's property and discovered 16 dogs stowed in a garage; a total of 26 dogs were seized from the residence during the raid.
Ryan had been on the radar of animal control since May 2012; the most recent raid and subsequent seizure, followed a complaint to animal services.
During Wednesday's raid, 26 live dogs, and the bodies of three deceased dogs, were removed from the property on Sholic Court.
According to the publication, some people claim to have pre-paid an adoption fee for dogs who were taken by animal control; those individuals who believe that a dog, with a pending adoption, has been taken to animal services, should call 760-240-7000, extension 7555.
Ryan is facing a slew of charges, including excessive waste, exceeding the legal number of dogs allowed in a home and operating a commercial kennel in a residential zone.
