Last week the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals seized 28 German shepherds and shepherd mixed breeds from filthy conditions in a Marcus Hook animal rescue.
Terry Silva, operator of the Sixth Angel Shepherd Rescue faces multiple charges of animal cruelty.
All of the dogs were brought to Pennsylvania SPCA for treatment and evaluation. Large scale rescues put a financial strain on rescues, and the organization is now reaching out to the public seeking loving, responsible families to adopt the dogs who are ready to go home.
