German Shepherd covered in motor oil needs months of recovery

The German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County (GSROC) recently rescued a female Shepherd who was found near a truck shop. The dog was covered in motor oil and also suffering from mange. Named ZigZag, she was put on IV fluids due to severe dehydration.

ZigZag is a one year old female Shepherd who was found covered in motor oil.

ZigZag is now under the care of GSROC and a critical care vet due to the nature of her injuries. She is barely a year old and indications of long-term neglect are evident on her body. Rescuers describe her as having a sweet nature despite a rough start in live.

Vets are giving ZigZag a daily medicated bath as part of her healing and recovery. Donations are being accepted to help with the expenses. To donate directly to GSROC please visit or you can purchase a fundraising product on HendrickBoards. Every purchase yields a $10 donation for ZigZag.
