German shepherd barely 3 years old: Ready, willing, and waiting for new home

Meet Ayra, a gorgeous German shepherd female barely three years old and found roaming the streets as a stray in La Puente. Sadly,no one came looking for her. On July 3, Ayra arrived at the Baldwin Park Shelter in Baldwin Park, California and has been available for adoption since July 7.

Ayra is running out of time; please adopt her and give her a wonderful life.
Pat Gregoire

At this time she weighs 50 pounds, but could use another ten pounds to reach her optimum condition.

Volunteers believe this dog had previously been an important member of a family. The volunteer writes:

"Arya has a personality that suggests she was once a valuable and well-trained house pet. She walks on leash like a pro, shows signs of being housebroken, and exhibits a calm and pleasant demeanor that would make her a great companion with children. Arya will be the best indoor pet for a family living in a single family home with an active lifestyle— and with plenty of fun challenges to keep her stimulated!"
