German film screening at Gene Siskel Film Center

The German language film Everyone Else will be offered on three different evenings at the Gene Siskel Film Center, at 164 North State Street.  (September 12, 14 and 16 at different times). The film is in German with English subtitles. 

The winner of the Silver Bear at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival, the film was written and directed by award-winning director Maren Ade, who also directed The Forest for the Trees.

Envy and attraction make for an oil-and-water mix in this sun-drenched drama filmed in Sardinia about an encounter between two couples that raises the question of whether love itself is an illusion.
