A 17-year-old Athens, Ga., girl is accused of killing her older sister's dog, reported Monday's Athen's Banner-Herald News.
The cruel act, which allegedly killed a small dog, took place early Sunday morning in a house on Beaverdam Road.
Police stated that the girl said:
I’m going to throw the dog in the bedroom,
no one thought that she meant (that) literally and she threw the dog against a cement wall and the dog died several hours later.
Several hours after the dog was allegedly thrown against the bedroom wall, the teen believed to be responsible, disappeared from the residence.
In fact, the authorities were only contacted in conjunction with the girls' disappearance - not because of the little dog's death.
The missing teen was later found and in light of the dog's death, and the older sister's allegations, she is now being investigated for a charge of felony animal cruelty.
