The Georgia SPCA cannot exist without the support of interested and active volunteers. Whether you walk dogs, stuff envelopes for an educational mailing, foster an animal in need, organize a fundraising event for your school or civic organization, or help at offsite adoption centers and events, you can make a difference in the lives of animals. We support a wide range of volunteer activities that will match your interests and abilities.

Here are just a few of the benefits of volunteering:

1. Be part of the solution. You'll join a network of hundreds of thousands of people working to make the world safe and more humane for all living creatures. You'll make the jobs of everyone working for animals a little easier by lending a hand and spreading the message of responsible pet ownership and animal protection.

2. Get warm fuzzies. You'll never find a more grateful and accepting comrade than an animal you've comforted.

3. Make New Friends. Whether your best friends are humans or animals, you'll find a warm and welcoming group of people at the Georgia SPCA.

If you would be willing to volunteer a couple of hours a month please contact us. You can make a difference!

We encourage children to volunteer. We feel that no one is ever too young to learn compassion and responsibility.
Children age 13 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to help at the shelter and must be 16 years old to walk dogs. Many young people have chosen to do fund raising projects for us too, which is extremely helpful.
