Georgia is planning multiunit check points with more than 500 agencies participating over the holidays beginning Wednesday. There are several checkpoints in South Fulton County according to the Georgia State Patrol. Deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office will be working along side of Georgia State Troopers to catch people who decide not to comply with state laws.
Local police officers will also contribute to this effort to save lives over the holiday season. The goal of an officer is not to aggravate people, it's to save lives. The people who are aggravated are usually the one's who have something to hide. No insurance, no license, driving inpaired or have committed other crimes. If any of this is found to be true about a driver, that person will be arrested and charged. We will get you off the streets and save lives potentially. This will also prevent criminals from committing more crimes putting citizens at risk of injury or death.
