Georgia’s favorite teen from American Idol, Lauren Alaina, releases her first studio album today. It’s called “Wildflower” and Atlanta teens are buzzing about their favorite Georgia peach. “I have always dreamed of making an album and I can’t believe it’s actually happening," Alaina says. “It’s because of the fans who voted for me on 'American Idol' that I am here, so I am dedicating this album to them.”
Georgia peach and hometown favorite, Lauren Alaina made families across North Georgia beam with pride when she competed on American Idol and came in second place. During the competition, Alaina’s Georgia hometown of Rossville was devastated when a tornado outbreak hit the southeast. To honor the victims, Lauren Alaina sang Martina McBride’s “Any Way.” Ever since then, she has been a hometown hero to thousands of Atlanta tweens and teens.
“I just love her,” says Sara Evans from Norcross. “I can’t wait to go out any buy her new CD today!” Brandi Jackson from Alpharetta echoes her sentiments and adds, “I think Lauren Alaina should have won American Idol. She is so good. Oh well. I’ll still buy her new CD. She’s the best!”
