St. Patrick’s Day 2014 is right around the corner, so it’s the perfect time to get your green on. To spark your Irish spirit, Georgia offers two huge parades – one in Savannah and another in Atlanta. In addition to the annual parade (the state’s oldest and most celebrated), Savannah will also host a giant festival. As posted by on March 13, this year’s festivities include a four-day, family-friendly event that features food, crafts, games and rides.

“This gives visitors and local folks alike the chance to enjoy our beautiful Emmet Park, hear some authentic Irish music, see some beautiful Irish step dancing, as well as offering arts and crafts for the children,” Tara Feis organizer, Bernadette Williams explained. “It will be a wonderful event for families to attend, since it is a non-alcoholic festival, and being sponsored by the city’s Department of Cultural Affairs, all this at no cost.

The city of Atlanta is also set to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2014 with a parade that winds through Midtown Atlanta on Saturday. The highlight this year includes the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales and “Clyde,” an adorable Dalmation dog. It will also feature more than 2,000 entertainers hailing from across the Southeast and as far away as Ireland.
