Georgia-Florida grunge prodigies TranKQuiLL are on a quest for Rockville

The TranKQuiLL crew are mere days away from learning if they will be the lucky winners of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, landing them big prizes and the opportunity to play the biggest show of their lives.

TranKQuiLL is the brainchild of Jc Miller. Though born in Jacksonville, Florida he lived in Brunswick, Georgia for much of his life. Miller's parents both passed away when he was young, and life was not easy for the sometimes-homeless 25 year old. But from those ashes Miller has built an impossibly popular alt-rock band and moved them to Florida, where TranKQuiLL's blend of riotous, punk-infused anthems and sludgy, gritty sensibilities serve them well.

Now, thanks to overwhelming fan support, Miller has a chance to revisit his hometown victorious for the Rockville Music Festival; if TranKQuiLL wins the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, not only do they win $15,000 in new equipment, but more importantly an all-expenses paid trip to Jacksonville to headline Monster Energy's Welcome to Rockville Music Festival.

To win, the band will have to be one of the top 100 'buzz rated' bands on the contest's website. The rating system, developed by Ernie Ball, takes into account both exposure and guest votes. Guests can vote for the band and listen to several songs as well as check out videos of the band from their personal BOTB page. Currently, the band is already in the top three, trailing behind by less than 2% buzz rating and a little over 300 song plays.

The top 100 bands will then be judged by a panel of industry professionals, including festival organizers, vendors, and of course Ernie Ball Inc.

Other than voting, guests can also share the band's contest page on their social media platforms, thus increasing their exposure.

The contest ends February 22nd, so guests are encouraged to vote and share now. A win for TranKQuiLL would be a win for this particular music scene in both Georgia and Florida. Vote today!
