Attention all chocolate lovers, you will not want to miss the Atlanta Botanical Garden's Chocolate Weekend event on Sept. 7-8 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this month.
Atlanta chocolatiers and pastry chefs will demonstrate how to make chocolate-covered caramel shortbread bars, dark chocolate coconut shakes and a vegan chocolate banana smoothie. But even more recipes will be shared for free to those in attendance, like this spicy dark chocolate fondue recipe.
If chocolate cupcakes are your preference, check out the Blue Eyed Daisy Bakeshop in Serenbe, a little community in Georgia that is half an hours drive south of Atlanta. The bakeshop won the Food Network's Cupcake Wars, but they provide a lot more than desert to the people who pack this town for events like the Bosch Green Living Seminars.
One September Georgia event not necessarily centered around food this week, but will include some of it anyway, is Stone Mountain Park's Yellow Daisy Festival, according to Access Atlanta. The event began at 10 a.m. on Sept. 5 and will run through 6 p.m. on Sunday, and it only costs $10 per vehicle for admittance.
