A 19-year old Georgetown University student is behind bars tonight after being arrested by the FBI for possession of ricin, CNN reports.

Daniel Harry Milzman allegedly concocted the deadly toxin in his dorm room at McCarthy Hall after finding the recipe online and buying the ingredients at local stores. The student showed a bag containing the substance to his dorm advisor, who then alerted the school authorities, who in turn contacted the police. The substance was confirmed to be ricin in preliminary laboratory tests.

According to the FBI affidavit reviewed by CNN, Milzman allegedly made the ricin a month ago and stored it in plastic bags sealed with hockey tape and kept the bags in his room. The affidavit stated that the amount of ricin Milzman produced was enough to kill anyone who inhaled or injected the substance. Tests at McCarthy Hall have returned negative for the toxin, according to a statement by the university.

Milzman is due back in court on Tuesday.

Ricin is derived from the waste produced from processing castor beans, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states.
