In the latest report regarding traffic stops performed on Zimmerman by authorities in Florida and Texas, the man who was acquitted of murdering Trayvon Martin last summer was stopped on Aug. 19. The stop made by the Florida Highway Patrol was for a window being tinted too dark. Additionally, a tag cover was placed over his tag on the vehicle he was driving.
Zimmerman told the officer who stopped him that he had his windows tinted because he had been receiving death threats. During the stop, Zimmerman received a warning instead of ticket.
In July, Zimmerman was stopped for speeding in Forney, Texas and issued a warning without a ticket also. However, he did receive a ticket for speeding when he was stopped earlier in September in Lake Mary, Florida.
