George Zimmerman's own wife now doubts his innocence. Shellie Zimmerman, 26, told Matt Lauer on "Today", that she has her doubts about her husband now. According to The Inquisitr on Sept. 27, she appeared on the show to discuss a 911 call earlier this month.
'I’m conflicted on that… I believe the evidence, but this revelation in my life has really helped me to take the blinders off. I have doubts, but I also believe the evidence…'
George Zimmerman's wife is currently in the process of divorcing him. On Sept. 9 he threatened her with a gun, spurring the 911 call. Charges were not filed in that case, but she thinks that was a mistake. His wife has been struggling since the domestic violence incident. She says that he changed dramatically after being acquitted of murder in the Trayvon Martin case.
George Zimmerman's wife said that she felt that she no longer knew her husband. And that she had no idea what he was capable of anymore. Zimmerman was found innocent of killing Martin or racially profiling the 17-year-old. The jury reached its verdict on July 13 after a month-long trial.
