George Zimmerman’s girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, has asked a judge to drop charges against Zimmerman and she wants the order that blocks her from seeing him to be dropped, according to a CNN report on Monday.
Scheibe wants to be able to talk to Zimmerman and be able to be with him. That’s why she wants the no-contact provision against Zimmerman lifted. Specifically, Scheibe said that she is not afraid of Zimmerman in any manner and she wants to be with him.
On November 18 of this year, Zimmerman was arrested at Scheibe’s home in Apopka, Florida after the two had a fight. According to a police report from that incident, Zimmerman allegedly broke a table with a shotgun and then pointed the gun at her for a minute. Now, according to a signed affidavit filed by Zimmerman’s attorney, Jayne Weintraub, Scheibe says Zimmerman never pointed a gun at or toward her face in a threatening manner and the claim is now that the police misinterpreted her. Specifically from Scheibe, again, she said that she believes that the police misinterpreted her and that she may have misspoken about certain facts in her statement to the police. She went on to say that she does not feel that the arrest report accurately recounts what happened.
From the incident, Zimmerman has been charged with aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of domestic violence battery and criminal mischief. Regarding the charges, he was released on $9,000 bail and has pleaded not guilty.
Scheibe says that she doesn’t want Zimmerman charged and is making the decision freely, knowingly and voluntarily – without any intimidation or undue influences.
The Seminole County State Attorney’s Office asserts that no hearing has been scheduled to the motion to modify the conditions of pretrial release.
Four months before last month’s incident with Scheibe, Zimmerman was acquitted on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges in the death of Trayvon Martin.
Zimmerman is like the “alleged criminal” with nine lives, one would think.
