George Zimmerman, who was found not guilty of the murder of Trayvon Martin is back in the news, and back in court. Yesterday, Zimmerman’s girlfriend Samantha Scheibe called 911 to report that he pointed a gun at her, and that he broke a table inside the home she was renting.

Prosecutors also pointed out in open court today that Scheibe claims that she was choked by Zimmerman. Assistant State Attorney Lymary Munoz told the judge that Scheibe is in fear for her safety.

Ultimately, Judge Fred Schott set Zimmerman’s bail at $9,000, and three hours after that Zimmerman’s family came to his rescue, raised the money, and Zimmerman walked out of the Seminole County jail free on bail.

Zimmerman claims that Scheibe is pregnant, however she claims that she is not.

Vicki Pate, a blogger who supports Zimmerman has been sleuthing for information on Scheibe, and she found the twitter accounts of Scheibe’s sisters. Olivia Mason tweeted after Zimmerman’s acquittal in the Trayvon Martin case: “Justice for George!!”, and that she is proud to be from Sanford.

Also noteworthy, it looks like some of the outrage and interest in Zimmerman has died down since his acquittal. There were no protesters that showed up to the jail when Zimmerman was released on bail today.

Furthermore, Zimmerman is no longer being represented by the high priced defense team of Mark O’Mara and Don West, and is using the services of a public defender. Zimmerman claimed he only has $144.
