George Washington women score season high at tri-meet

The George Washington University women's gymnastics team scored a season high this past weekend at a tri-meet at Kent State against Kent State and Western Michigan.

GW scored their team total of 193.875 with strong performances on every apparatus. However, Kent State was just as strong and won the meet posting 194.675 while Western Michigan finished in second with a team total of 194.125.

Kent State junior Marie Case won the all-around with a total of 39.200. GW senior Stephanie Stoicovy placed second with a total of 38.925. Her teammate, Junior Betsy Zander, took third with a total of 38.900.

Senior Kayla Carto was the only GW gymnast to place in the top three on an individual apparatus, scoring 9.750 to tie for second on balance beam with Western Michigan senior Caroline O'Brien.

The next meet for the GW women will be on Sunday, February 3 at New Hampshire against New Hampshire and Yale.
