Winners for the 2013 CMA Awards were announced last night (Nov. 6) in Nashville, Tn. at the Bridgestone Arena according to a report by CMT.

The winners included some familiar names as the big winners of the night, with few surprises mixed in. The big winner of the night was George Strait who took home the Entertainer of the Year Award. Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert won Male and Female Artists of the Year and Taylor Swift picked up a special award, the Pinnacle Award.

The Pinnacle Award has only been presented one other time, to Garth Brooks in 2005. This award is presented to artists who have achieved worldwide success and recognition to the country music genre.

The Vocal Duo of the Year Award went to Florida Georgia Line who also picked up the award for Single of the Year with their hit single, "Cruise."

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night was the Kasey Musgraves win for New Artist of the Year. Kasey is new on the scene, and has put in just a little more than a year's work on the country music radar. Other artists that have been making waves for a couple of years now were not recognized for this award. '

The Music Event of the Year went to Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Taylor Swift for "Highway Don't Care," as well as the Video of the Year Award.

Congratulations to all of the winners!
