George Stephanopoulos is a mainstay in morning talk shows. He delivers all the news, gossip and interviews with a smile on Good Morning America and fans love it. So when viewers found out that the star still doesn't have a contract in place to work at Good Morning America in the future, everyone realized there might be a reason to be worried. According to Radar Online on Wednesday, the talks between the broadcaster and ABC are at a standstill.

The issue at hand? The reports suggests that the replacement on ABC World News, if Diane Sawyer steps down, is of concern to the host. Will it be George Stephanopoulos or David Muir? Looking at the future, the issue at hand appears to be how the network shapes the news desk after Sawyer leaves. Sounds ridiculous, right? Yeah, we couldn't agree more.

Should Good Morning America fans be worried about the co-host leaving? The shakeup at GMA has been rather unpleasant lately hasn't it? Obviously change is always tough, but it seems that the way the network has been portrayed in the press on negotiations has more of a mean feeling. Anytime contractual agreements become public that happens, but the handling of Josh Elliott upset some fans. Now the news that George Stephanopoulos is still working out his contract details has people thinking this might be another morning talk show departure.

What happened to the happy hosts at Good Morning America? Once the contracts have been settled, things will no doubt go back to normal. For the record we never want to see George Stephanopoulos leave as he really has got a handle on making the morning news pleasant.
