George Lopez makes a joke out of being arrested

George Lopez has proven to be a better comedian than his millions of fans originally thought as seen by how well he handled a recent arrest with a joke. While speaking about being arrested for public intoxication after he passed out on the floor of a Canadian casino, Lopez joked, that he had "tied one on" and he was "trying to sleep it off," reported ET News on March 1, 2014.

Lopez went on to say he was not feeling very good the morning after his arrest. He was unfortunately in the wrong place when he was sleeping off being drunk, on the floor of a casino. The Ontario Provincial Police told ET that George Lopez, age 52 of Burbank, California, had been arrested at Caesars Windsor Casino for being intoxicated in a public place. Lopez was later released and he was not charged with any infractions.

It sure seems Lopez had a little too much to drink during his trip to Canada this week, reports E! Online. Lopez was arrested at 10:49 p.m. ET Thursday evening. Although it is not clear what he was up to in the hours leading up to his arrest, a fan snapped a photo of Lopez lying on the ground in the middle of the casino before he was taken into custody. Well, the best among us have had a little too much to drink on occasion and it appears with his talent for making a joke out of this incident, Lopez will probably recover well personally and professionally. Let's hope for the sake of his own health he drinks more spring water and less booze the next time around.
