For real, people. The celeb gossip about George Clooney and his ill-fated relationship with Italian swimsuit model Eli Canalis is getting a bit ridiculous. The latest strange news rumors about the celebrity couple involve Elisabetta Canalis, eggplant, and marinara.
Tabloid magazine IT recently reported that Eli has been slipping over to George Clooney's celebrity home to stock his fridge with her tasty vegetarian home cooking. The fare? Marinated eggplant and fresh Marinara.
Presumably, she's doing this to woo George Clooney back and keep him eating healthy. [Folks noticed George was getting a little plump around the middle when the two started dating -- presumably from the pasta -- but he slimmed down quickly once the two star celebs settled into their comfort zone of dining out on healthy fares regularly.]
The trouble is, the gossip is (according to E! Online news) completely fabricated. As in more freshly created than Eli's special sauce.
They say:
George's rep wouldn't budge when we asked for comment, but some of his close friends sure did—so we asked if it was true what IT was saying, that Elisabetta was "still filling George's fridge"?
"She is not," we were told—not only emphatically but categorically, you might say.
Well, this is just too confusing. Perhaps IT, then, might be mentioning filling Clooney's refrigerator as some sort of euphemism? Ya know, maybe Elisabetta is gifting George with stuffing of another kind? Something more, uh, sensual?
No way was the George Clooney press camp response: "It is over."
