American actor George Clooney and Italian bikini swimsuit model have officially called it quits. The 50-year-old Hollywood movie star and the thirty something exotic looking eye candy have decided that a future relationship between them will most likely not be more than to continue to be celebrity friends. Both star celebs are green celebrities. George Clooney is a noted humanitarian. Pal to men like former President Bill Clinton and current President Barack Obama, the Cloon is well-known for his efforts to stop genocide in Darfur and for hosting the Help Haiti telethon after the earthquakes in Haiti hit. Pet friendly animal rights activist and health and fitness role model Elisabetta Canalis (known and Eli Canalis to her friends) recently posed for the I’d Rather Be Naked Than Wear Fur campaign for PETA. Rumors and gossip have swirled since the two love birds first hooked up on the shores of Lake Como in Italy that Clooney was not interested in settling down. He was interested in Canalis — but he was very clear to tell the press he would never get married again or have children. Eli [if she was the one smart enough to end the relationship] said she was perfectly content being a parent to her two dogs, but one has to wonder if Clooney’s clear dismissal of her as a long-term love interest did not sting quite a bit. When the swimsuit model and aspiring actress confessed quite staunchly to Chi magazine that she is a firm believer in marriage and that she will be married oneday, it seemed George Clooney cut and run. Was her candid admission she wanted more from a relationship than what he was giving her now the fatal celebrity OOPS blow to the relationship?
