George Clooney is extremely upset by what a magazine had to say about his fiance's mother and he is speaking out. On Wednesday, LA Times spoke out about what he had to say. He said that a post The Daily Mail put up was made up and he wanted it taken down. They listened to him and took down the article.
Clooney is going to marry Amal Alamuddin. The two of them are excited about the wedding and the new report said that her mom didn't want them to get married due to religious reasons. George Clooney wants everyone to know that this is not true at all and these two are happy about their marriage.
USA Today shared what Clooney had to say about this story. Here is part of what actor George Clooney had to say, "First of all, none of the story is factually true. Amal's mother is not Druze. She has not been to Beirut since Amal and I have been dating, and she is in no way against the marriage — but none of that is the issue. I'm, of course, used to the Daily Mail making up stories — they do it several times a week — and I don't care. If they fabricate stories of Amal being pregnant, or that the marriage will take place on the set of Downton Abbey, or that I'm running for office, or any number of idiotic stories that they sit at their computers and invent, I don't care."
He went on to explain that he does respect freedom of speech. George Clooney is just not okay with them making up totally false reports that are not true at all. He doesn't speak up much but if he is going to speak out to the press now is the time. It is great to see him stand up for himself.
