In the two-hour premiere event, Clooney courses through his life from his early days as Dr. Doug Ross on “ER” to his most recently acclaimed role as Matt King in “The Descendants,” for which he has just received an Oscar® nomination (84th Academy Awards - list of Oscar nominees), in addition to the Golden Globe Award he received earlier in the month. Clooney has navigated through various genres in entertainment, from comedy to drama. His television roles have included an early role as a hunky detective in 'Sisters,' and as a hunky doctor in the medical drama ER. Clooney then became a movie star, with films including “Out of Sight,” “Oh, Brother Where Art Thou,” “The Perfect Storm,” “Oceans 11” and “Michael Clayton.”
Clooney has garnered critical acclaim for his writing and directing talents with movies “Good Night, and Good Luck.” and “Ides of March,” in which he also played a principal acting role.
