Geometric weaving looms

Frame looms are a fun, easy way to create shawls, scarfs, placemats and more in varying sizes. The finished items can be solid or plaid in color. The results require a lot less yarn than knitting and only one continuous thread creates the piece. Learn how to make your own looms. This is a perfect hobby for all ages.

Frame looms are a bit unconventional when you think of weaving. There are warps and wefts created, so it istechnically weaving. There are hexagonal, round, triangle, rectanglular and square looms. You may remember the square loom from your potholder days.

Small triangular looms make finished triangles that can pieced together to make larger items. Blankets and sweaters can be created in a colorful array of patterns using this method. Triangular looms, wether small or large are inexpensive to make.
What is nice about these looms is that you can make them yourself with wood and nails.
