Rubeus (“Red”) is the Sixteenth and final Geomantic Figure. As the Rain of Wind, it connects to Tarot Queen of Swords. There is no Zodiac Sign that is an Air Sign, Ruled by Jupiter. This writer feels is should be assigned to Capricorn, which would connect it with the Tarot “Devil”. There is another Figure, Tristitia (“Sorrow”) which we have also assigned to Capricorn, which has been already discussed.
The Tarot Card is the Devil, which has Meanings of bondage. The Queen of Swords is often a warning Sign to weigh decisions carefully. Between them you can easily understand Rubeus. This is quite a bit different from the Meaning of Tristitia. The seemingly negative Feelings in Rubeus are external, not internal like Tristitia.
The Binary Code for Rubeus is 2122, in other Words, One Pair of Dots followed by One Single Dot, then Two more Pairs. This would make it the same as Albus, its predecessor, but upside-down. It resembles a Human Being, performing a hand stand. The goblet, reversed from Albus, has been overturned and emptied.
Rubeus usually, but not always, has a negative portent, such as disappointment, humiliation, loneliness, a change for the worse, loss, destruction, illness, pain, heartbreak, despair, depression. It is also Traditionally associated with paradox and "kept secrets". At the same Time, there is an implication of “letting loose”, and experiencing uncontrolled emotions.
As the Right Witness, this Sign is associated with loss in the Past. Perhaps there was an addiction problem as a root cause
As the Left Witness, this Figure can be a warning to be very careful in the Future
As the Judge the Meaning is that it is Time to “let go” and experience life to the fullest! A Positive attitude can overcome seemingly Negative Vibrations.
