Earth Day is almost here.
And so is the international Cache In Trash Out weekend. The world-wide event is a coordinated geocaching community effort to clean parks, and other cache friendly environmental areas. Taking place during the Earth Day Weekend, the event is now in its 9th year. The CITO weekend takes place on April 30th through May 1st, 2011. CITO events are open to all to attend, help to beautify the environment, and provide geocachers a CITO icon on their stats page.
Every Day is CITO day.
It is also important to remember that there are routine CITO events held throughout the year, and geocachers are encouraged to practice CITO when caching antime.
Here is a list of upcoming CITO events being held in Massachusetts, including some on CITO Weekend.
