JAKE HAS BEEN ADOPTED!!!
In 2007, Southern California Dachshund Rescue saved Jake from the shelter the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized. A nice lady adopted Jake, but when she passed away recently, he came back into rescue so we could find him another loving home. .jpg)
Jake's Stats
Age: 12 years
Color: Red
Coat: Smooth
Sex: Male/Neutered
Size: Tweenie – 14 lbs.
Jake is house trained and crate trained, and he knows how to use the dog-door. We do not know if he is cat-safe. He is not safe with children under 10 years old. Although Jake is crate trained, he prefers sleeping in the big bed with his humans. He loves to cuddle and snuggle. He gets along well with other dogs, but tends to be a little bossy sometimes. He would do best in a home with a mellow female dachshund for companionship.
Jake is opinionated and has no trouble expressing his feelings. He’s a talker and has a hard time taking no for an answer. We find his “dachitude” endearing and delightful. He is everything a dachshund should be: happy, playful, demanding, spoiled and always trolling for food. He loves going for walks and likes to ride "shotgun" in the car.
Jake is in great health, his vaccinations are all up-to-date and he has nice teeth, especially for an older guy.
