Gennady Golovkin is ready to brutalize Osumanu Adama

Gennady Golovkin will defend the WBA and IBO middleweight belts versus Osumanu Adama on Saturday night at the Salle des etoiles in Monte Carlo.

The 31-year-old Golovkin (28-0, 25 KOs), who has now recorded 15 consecutive knockouts, last vacated the squared circle in November after successfully safeguarding his crowns against an overmatched Curtis Stevens.

A silver medalist as a middleweight at the 2004 Summer Olympics, “GGG” mercilessly stalked the 28-year-old Stevens (25-4, 18 KOs) and floored the challenger with a ferocious left in the second.

The bout was called at the end of the eighth round after Golovkin landed 293 punches and badly defaced Stevens.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old Adama (22-3, 16 KOs) most recently stopped Doel Carrasquillo following six rounds of action.

Adama, who amassed an amateur record of 54-4, is nothing more than an average prizefighter.

Accordingly, a ferocious and accurate slugger who has never once hit the canvas, Golovkin will quickly finish Adama and then seek a marquee opponent.

Expect Gennady Golovkin to knock Osumanu Adama onto Queer Street within seven rounds roughly 96 hours from now.
