Embrace the Winter season and enjoy some of the fun, family-friendly activities that it has to offer at Geneva-on-the-Lake's annual Winterfest held on Saturday, February 2 from noon - 4 p.m. at various Geneva venues. Geneva-on-the-Lake is located 53 miles from Cleveland and it is approximately a one hour drive.
Winterfest With a theme this year of "The Great Outdoors," Winterfest has a multitude of activities to offer visitors.
For the Winter sports enthusiasts there will be free snowmobile rides, shoeshoeing and a sledding hill (weather permitting).
There will be a Winterfest parade at noon kicking off the festivities.
Other activities include carriage and wagon rides, wine tastings, ice skating and a talent show (from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Geneva Community Center).
For the kids there will be two magic shows and a performance by Jungle Terry.
Live musical entertainment will be offered at various venues.
Foodwise, visitors have various choices. There will be a pancake breakfast at the First United Methodist Church from 9 a.m. - noon ($5 for adults and $3 for children) and there will be a Chili Cook-off at the Depot Lot from noon - 4 p.m. (or until all the chili is gone).
And be sure to check out the spaghetti dinner being held at the Geneva Fraternal Order of Eagles located at 120 Depot St. The dinner will be served from 1 p.m. until they are sold out. Cost is $6.50 per person.
