Genesis and Revelation, the beginning and the ending books of the Bible

These two books are the beginning and the ending books of our Holy Bible (KJV). The Bible's beginning verse is in Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God create the heaven and the earth." The last verse in the Bible is Revelation 22:21, "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

The Lord Jesus Christ, the Living and Written Word said in Revelation 1:8, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."

In Genesis it gives you the original Creation and the curse on mankind while in the last chapters of Revelation it gives you the renewed Creation and the curse lifted.

Genesis 1:1 : Heaven and earth created - Revelation 21:1 : Heavens and earth recreated.

Genesis 1:16 : Sun created - Revelation 21:23 : No need of sun

Genesis 1:5 : The night established - Revelation 22:5 : No night there.

Genesis 1:10 : The seas created - Revelation 21:1 : No more seas.

Genesis 3:14-17 : The curse enters the world - Revelation 22:3 : No more curse.

Genesis 3:19 : Death enters the world - Revelation 21:4 : Death is no more.

Genesis 3:17 : Sorrow and pain begin - Revelation 21:4 : Sorrow and pain end.

Genesis 3:24 : Humanity is cast out of paradise - Revelation 22:4 : Humanity is restored to paradise.

Even though the Book of Revelation ends our Bible, it is not the end for the Christian who has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. It is just the beginning journey for all eternity. Amen!

The Earth will become the center of the universe with the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst. Our hope for the future is firmly rooted in God. We can trust that God will do what He has promised us because He has been faithful in the past. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ for your precious promises. Amen!
