Generosity begins with a giving giver that recognizes needs in others

Thanksgiving is considered to be the beginning of the holiday season whereby generosity begins to flow from others to others. The Miami Dolphins organization continued their longstanding tradition of donating Thanksgiving meals to families in need throughout South Florida. Dolphins’ players, coaches and members of the Miami Dolphins Women’s Organization (MDWO) donated money to provide 750 Thanksgiving meals to families from Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties in conjunction with Feeding South Florida. Families at two schools in Boynton Beach, Galaxy E3 and Poinciana STEM Elementary schools benefited from this generosity.

Hope Centennial Elementary students also were on a “list of generosity” when they received over 1500 books donated by l National Honor Society students. Over 1,000 volunteer hours were awarded to the John I Leonard High students.

“Thank you to coach Patricia Martin who leads the National Honor Society and Mr. Tierney, Principal for collaborating with Hope Centennial’s literacy project,” said Hope-Centennial Principal Awilda Tomas Andres.

Old sayings state: “It is better to give then receive or better to light one candle than to curse the darkness”.
