“General Hospital” fans miss Bradford Anderson playing Damian Spinelli a lot. His character was a goofball turned father, which left so much more to be done. Ultimately the writers left the door open for Spinelli's return to Port Charles in the event Anderson wants to come back. This has been an incredibly big week for Anderson and his entire family. According to a May 2 tweet sent out by Bradford Anderson, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy and became a father for the second time in the same week. There is plenty of happiness to go around.
Several of the “General Hospital” stars announced they were expecting last year including Bradford Anderson, Teresa Castillo (Sabrina), and Kirsten Storms (Maxie). Ironically, all of the stars will be welcoming or have welcomed daughters this year. Anderson and his wife named their daughter Finola Leo Anderson. Fans immediately questioned whether or not she was named after Finola Hughes but there has been no confirmation of that.
After waking up and finding out he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, Bradford Anderson had to take a minute and let it all sink in. He talked about being nominated with several of his good friends including Steve Burton (ex-Jason), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), and Scott Clifton (ex-Dylan). The story he submitted was when Spinelli found out baby Connie was biologically his, and his then-girlfriend Ellie told him the truth. The entire story line was emotional and well done. It definitely was a fan-favorite moment for fans of Ellie and Spinelli.
It looks like the next few months will be busy in the Anderson household. Bradford Anderson and his wife already had one daughter prior to the birth of Finola. The Daytime Emmy awards will take place on June 22 in Beverly Hills. It has not been announced whether or not the show will be broadcast on television or just streamed live. Fans are hoping it will air live so they can see what everyone is wearing and watch their favorites win the biggest award for daytime television.
