Digest got the confirmation from Executive Producer Frank Valentini who also says McCullough has signed a new contract with the soap. The actress will begin airing this fall.
'Robin is such an important part of the history of GENERAL HOSPITAL. It will be so wonderful to see her come back and what that effect will have on the canvas,’ Valentini told Digest.
As happy as fans are about Robin’s return, we can’t help but wonder what it will mean for the budding romance of Patrick and Sabrina.
Check out the new issue of Soap Opera Digest – on sale tomorrow – for more details on McCullough’s return.
The former co-stars are not only married, but they are expecting a child in January. The couple tied the knot in June but kept the news of the marriage and the baby as quiet as possible.
‘We kept things quiet because of everything that can go wrong during the first trimester. Kirsten did have a rocky [time] and we were in and out of the hospital,’ Barash told People in an exclusive interview.
The marriage is the first for both actors. Barash was previously engaged to actress Natalie Hall (ex Colby, ‘All My Children’).
‘General Hospital’ airs weekdays at 2pm on Detroit’s local ABC affiliate WXYZ Channel 7.
