General Hospital” has officially been on the air for five decades. Over the course of time, the show has evolved in many ways. This afternoon fans got a sneak peek into the anniversary episode that will air tomorrow. Not only will fans be seeing characters return, but there are going to be several surprises throughout the hour. According to a March 31 report from Soap Opera Digest, the show will be focused around the history of “General Hospital.” What that means is anyone's guess, but fans are looking forward to seeing three Carlys on the show at once!

When fans heard the news about Sarah Joy Brown and Tamara Braun returning to “General Hospital” for one episode only, you could almost hear the collective shouts of joy. On top of “Carlypalooza” there are going to be some flashbacks for fans to look forward to. In the preview shown after Monday's episode, it looks like much of the show will be focused around the hospital. Alan Quartermaine was mentioned, along with several other old “General Hospital” characters.

Fans are excited to see how the writers will celebrate being on-air for 51 years. “General Hospital” is the only ABC soap opera left and if the ratings stay up, it may outlive some of the others as well. Tune in tomorrow at 1 p.m. CT to watch “Carlypalooza” and find out what other tricks the writers have up their sleeve.
