The anxiously awaited baby has arrived into the world of “General Hospital”s real-life couple, Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash. The soap stars had a healthy baby girl, as reported by Soap Opera Digest on Jan. 8.

This is the first baby for the couple and it looks like the new daddy is quite excited about it. He tweeted the announcement saying, “Our passenger has touched down and arrived. Welcome to our world. There has not been a more fulfilling day.”

The new mom is currently on maternity leave from the popular ABC daytime drama. She plays the role of Maxie Jones, the daughter of the popular soap couple, Frisco and Felecia Jones.

Storms married the former "GH" actor, ex-Johnny Zacchara, in an intimate ceremony last June and announced that they were expecting their little bundle of joy. She had suffered from endometriosis, so this made the surprise pregnancy even sweeter for the new parents.

“General Hospital” cast members are thrilled to add this new baby girl into their fold. Congratulations have been posted on Twitter this morning from Theresa Castillo (Sabrina), who is also pregnant, Rebecca Herbst (Liz) and “GH” head writer Ron Carlivati. They are just a few of the many stars and former stars from the soap that have offered their congrats to the new mom and dad.

Stay tuned for some sweet photos and an official name for the new daughter of Kirsten Storms and Brandon Barash, as you know that you just can’t keep those two from sharing this joyous event.

Congratulations to the new parents!
