There is big news out for “General Hospital” spoiler fans on March 12 via Soap Central. Long-time fan favorite Wally Kurth is returning to Port Charles.

The character of Ned Ashton has been off the canvas, other than a brief appearance in January 2013, for several years now. When will Kurth be back on the television screens of fans? That date hasn't been revealed yet, but Wally did tease fans via Twitter with the "General Hospital" spoiler tidbit that he's already filming.

Kurth wrote, “well, I had nice day in Port Charles yesterday. Yes, Ned will be arriving in town soon. Stay tuned. Thanks for waiting!” That definitely sounds like more than a one-day appearance, and fans can't wait to see how the character is brought back into the mix of things.

Wally Kurth first joined “General Hospital” was Ned in 1992. He was taken off-contract for what were termed storyline reasons in 2005. Kurth, of course, has also played Justin Kiriakis on-and-off over the years on “Days of Our Lives” as well.

Alexis already has one ex in town with Ric's return, and now Ned is heading to Port Charles too. What would you like to see the writers do with Ned when he returns? Tune in to “General Hospital” weekdays on ABC to see what happens next.
