General Hospital” fans have been wondering how Teresa Castillo will exit the show for maternity leave for quite some time. With Castillo due in just under four weeks, her exit is building. Fans watched as Sabrina delivered her baby 15 weeks premature last week and speculation is that the baby may not make it. According to an April 28 report from ABC Soaps In Depth, Michael Saucedo will be returning to “General Hospital” for a short stint. Saucedo plays Juan Santiago, Sabrina's cousin.

Fans are excited to hear that Michael Saucedo will be returning to “General Hospital.” Saucedo made a brief appearance last year when Juan brought Sabrina her mother's wedding dress from Puerto Rico. Sabrina and Juan are cousins. Rumor has it that when Juan gets word of Sabrina's early birth, he heads to Port Charles. Fans are speculating he will insist she returns to Puerto Rico with him, giving her room to take her maternity leave.

Rebecca Herbst and Michael Saucedo met on the set of “General Hospital” and eventually got married and had children. Fans adore the real-life couple and hope that Elizabeth and Juan will share some on-screen time while he is in Port Charles. They did have a scene last year at Sabrina's apartment when Juan brought the dress, and fans were talking about it for days on social media. As of now, Michael Saucedo has not tweeted about his return to “General Hospital” but has retweeted several fan comments wanting him to return.

There has not been a confirmed appearance date for the character of Juan Santiago but based on the “General Hospital” taping schedule, fans should expect to see him in early June. While this is only going to be a small stint, fans are hoping the writers will consider keeping him on the show permanently. Even if Michael Saucedo doesn't return for good, fans are happy that he will be back even for a short time.
