'General Hospital' spoiler: Michelle Stafford cast as Nina Clay

For months now rumors have been circulating about Michelle Stafford being headed to "General Hospital." The rumors began when Stafford left "The Young and the Restless" last year. Fans have been excited about the possibility, but were left wondering where she would fit in. According to a Feb. 20 report from Celebrity Dity Laundry, Michelle Stafford is likely headed to Port Charles to play Nina Clay. Clay is the comatose wife of Dr. Silas Clay.

Fans were shocked when it was announced that Silas Clay had a wife, much less one in a coma. "General Hospital" writers are good about sneaking things in when there is going to be a big reveal. This story line is just the thing to get speculation started. Nothing is being said about whether or not Nina Clay will remain comatose or miraculously wake up, but fans are hoping for the latter.

Michelle Stafford is quite a talented actress. Many of her fans from "The Young and the Restless" have vowed to follow her where she goes, which could mean an even bigger audience for "General Hospital." It will be interesting to see how the incorporation of Nina Clay will change the dynamic and what will happen with Sam Morgan and Silas Clay.
