“General Hospital” will air its 51st anniversary episode on Tuesday April 1st on ABC. In the episode, Monica is comforted by loved ones from the past; Lucy, Kevin, Mac, and Felicia remember 20 years of love and friendship, while Sonny and Carly walk down memory lane.
Speaking of Carly, the show is doing a first when two former actresses who played Carly Corinthos Jacks, Sarah Joy Brown and Tamara Braun, will join Sonny (Maurice Bernard) and current Carly (Laura Wright) for scenes of the show. The episode, nicknamed “Carlypalooza,” by the show's online fans, will be a first for the series. Head writer, Ron Carlivati, posted a picture of Bernard with the three actresses on his Twitter page.
Brown, the original actress to play Carly, earned three Emmys for the role she played from 1996 to 2001 and later appeared as Claudia Zacchara on “GH” from 2008 to 2009. Braun portrayed Carly from 2001 to 2005. Wright, who has also won an Emmy for the role, joining "GH" as Carly in 2005.
“General Hospital” has been synonymous with many groundbreaking storylines, including the marriage of super couple Luke and Laura Spencer. This past year, the show resurrected the legendary Nurse's Ball, witnessed the brief reunion of Partick and Robin, introduced Scotty Baldwin and Heather Webber to their son, Franco and the rekindled romance of Anna Devane and Duke Lavery, to name a few.
