"General Hospital" has several female leads and sometimes that causes issues among the cast. Several actresses have been on the soap for at least a decade, if not more. News was released a few weeks ago that Donna Mills would be headed to Port Charles, but there were no details about her character. According to a Feb. 8 report from Celebrity Dirty Laundry, Donna Mills' arrival has caused angst and jealousy on the set. Nancy Lee Grahn, Jane Elliot, and Maura West are having issues with the new addition.
Fans know that it takes several strong characters to have a successful show. All of these ladies have been an important part of "General Hospital" and the higher ratings over the last year. Nancy Lee Grahn plays Alexis Davis and is involved in almost every story line whether directly or indirectly. Jane Elliot plays Tracey Quartermaine who has been sporadic on the show with the Quartermaines taking a backseat in recent months. Maura West plays Ava Jerome, sister to a mobster and love interest of a mobster's son. There may be some tension between them and Donna Mills, but the reports of a feud seems a little ridiculous to fans.
Whether or not there is a battle on the set of "General Hospital" makes no difference to the fans. Each of the women have their own fan bases, many of which crossover. Donna Mills will begin airing at the end of February and her character has not been revealed yet.
