Actor James Franco is a very busy man, but is he too busy for another stint on "General Hospital"? According to Soap Opera Network on Feb. 3, head writer Ron Carlivati is trying to lure the real Franco back to the show, but as himself.

In Roger Friedman's Showbiz411 column, the columnist explains how Carlivati wants James Franco to return to the show one more time but his role will be to confront the Franco that is currently on the show played by Roger Howarth.

James Franco originated the role of the crazy artist and was playing the character when he terrorized much of Port Charles. But now the character of Franco has been "cured" of his craziness and is romantically involved with one of the women he tortured. The character of Franco has also been given ties to "GH" history as it was discovered that his is the offspring of the wacky Heather Webber (Robin Mattson) and Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner).

A lot has changed since the original Franco was "killed" by mobster Jason Morgan.

So what would the real Franco bring to the table? Only Carlivati knows and perhaps viewers will find out if James Franco would be willing to return to the soap to play himself.
